I think the thing is, 
that when you lose you all your friends
you fall behind
to things that you don’t want.

Well you lie and you say you know me best,
but you hate my lack of “innocence.”
You say love doesn’t judge, but
you’re a hypocrite.

But I won’t turn my back on you,
even if that’s what you do,

Best friends means forever,
even if we never talk again.

I know things aren’t all right right now, and
I wish that we could turn this around, but
I guess this is how this has to be.

You say I’ve changed.
Why is that a bad thing?
Everyone needs to grow up some day.

Cause life won’t be exactly what we’d hoped for, but
what did you expect? Was there something more to this?

If there was, then how come we lost it?

maybe someday if we could forgive each other
we could fix the way things are.
